Licensed motor car traders and their employees must meet the standards of conduct set out in Part 3 of the Motor Cars Traders Regulations 2018, in their day-to-day dealings with consumers.
The regulations impose obligations about:
    - notifying the Business Licensing Authority of any key change to the trading details of the motor car trading business, as described on Update details
 
    - supervising and controlling every employee involved in motor car trading 
 
    - advertising businesses or cars for sale
 
    - handling and returning consumers' deposits.
 
These obligations are in addition to those set out under related legislation.
